I used KJots of KDE project for keeping notes on computer. But with Fedora 16, that small program become part of big PIMS named Akonadi. That made it difficult to use and lost its simplicity. From that time I was searching for an alternative. I had a long time plan of developing an application myself. But I am lazy and did not get time for that. Then now I found a good alternative. It is a simple project released under GNU/GPL, named WOAS – Wiki On A Stick.
It does not require database or web server or complex usage. All is in a single html file with some plugins and macros. It works everywhere. All needed is a web browser that support Java Script.
