CIA behind the rise of ISIS in Iraq

Last month, Islamic insurgent took control of two main Iraqi cities, Mosul and Tikrit, and openly challenged the pro-West Government in Baghdad.

ISIS is portrayed as a Sunni-extremist group that split from Al-Qaeda. However, recent details leaking out suggests that the rise of ISIS is being ‘shaped and controlled’ out of Langley, Virginia and other CIA facilities in the States with the objective to spread chaos in world’s second largest oil state Iraq.

The details were revealed by a Canadian think tank on international affairs and security, Global Research. The Centre for Research on Globalization (CRG) is an independent research and media organization based in Montreal. The CRG is a registered non-profit organization in the province of Quebec, Canada.

The Global Research report questions the manner in which ISIS took control of the oil-rich city of Mosul, ‘without firing a single shot’. Eyewitnesses accounts revealed Iraqi government soldiers abandoning their gears and ammunition ‘without any resistance’ to ISIS fighters. Pictures of Iraqi government soldiers leaving behind bulletproof jackets and guns were splattered across the internet when ISIS entered Mosul.

A point worth mentioning is that much of the present Iraqi government has been armed with the help of US assistance.

The report mentions a certain General Ibrahim al-Douri as the mastermind of the recent ISIS military success in Iraq. Douri is on the watch list of America since 2003 and is former Baath Party head and Saddam Hussein successor. Currently, he is the head of the Iraqi rebel group Army of the Men of the Naqshbandi Order.

The report alleges that Douri had well-placed contacts in Washington, which enabled his return to Iraq, even after being present on US’ most wanted list.

In 2012, US, Turkey, Jordan and Qatar chalked out a plan to train ‘moderate factions’ of Syrian rebel groups to fight inside Syria against the regime of President Bashar al-Assad. A secret training camp was organised in Jordanian town, close with the borders of Syria and Iraq, in 2012. The report claims that Saudi Arabia and Qatar funded the training of ISIS fighters within the training camp. Several thousands of fighters were trained in the techniques of irregular warfare, sabotage and general terror.

The details were revealed by Jordanian government officials who were concerned with the sudden rise of ISIS. Jordan is wary that ISIS has its eyes set on King Abdullah and would soon turn its guns towards Jordan.

The report also quoted US State Department official Andrew Doran claiming that several ISIS fighters hold US passports.

Further, security experts doubt ISIS capabilities to take control of Mosul all by itself.
Eastern European nation of Georgia has been accused of transporting mercenary fighters from all across the globe to Syria and Iraq.

A joint US-Georgian program being run with the help of an NGO named Jvari was used to transport mercenary fighters from Chechen, Georgians and Arabs into Iraq
and Syria.

The transportation was facilitated with the help of Georgia’s Counterintelligence
Department and the approval of the US Embassy.

The report points out that the recent skirmishes in northern Iraq are part of a well laid out plan to have a Kurdish Republic separate from the control of Baghdad.

The report points at the lack of US action to halt the advance ISIS as father proof that ISIS advances were deliberately allowed if not instigated by Western countries.
