Copper Miners Strike for Right to Collectively Bargain

In Chile, subcontracted workers for one of the world’s largest copper mining companies went on strike Tuesday. The strike spread to five mines run by the state-owned company Codelco as workers blockaded the roads and worksites. The workers’ demands include the right to collectively bargain.
