In Honduras, another activist from the indigenous rights organization COPINH has been killed. 49-year-old Lesbia Janeth Urquia was a mother of three and a member of COPINH since the 2009 U.S.-backed military coup. She had been one of the leaders of a campaign against the construction of a privatized hydro-electric dam along a river in the region of La Paz. Her body was found near a garbage dump on Wednesday. She had been stabbed to death.
