A tribal woman allegedly died of hunger in Dhowadnagal village in Hiranpur block of this Jharkhand district, villagers claimed. According to the villagers, the woman, identified as Lakhi Murmu (30), had not received food grains under the PDS scheme for the past four months resulting in her starvation death. They claimed that the woman managed to survive all these days due to the food provided by them.
