A GoFundMe account created to help the victims of the Las Vegas shooting has seen a tremendous outpouring of support, quickly raising more than $1 million by Monday afternoon. The crowdfunding campaign was created by Steve Sisolak, Clark County Commission Chair from Las Vegas. Sisolak’s initial goal was to raise $500,000, but as of 5 p.m. PT, the campaign had already raised more than $1,860,000 from more than 23,500 donors. Shortly after, the goal was raised to $2.5 million. Sisolak said, “Funds will be used to provide relief and financial support to the victims and families of the horrific Las Vegas mass shooting.”
