Majority of sexual harassment still not reported

Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby and Roger Ailes give a face to the phenomenon but most sexual harassers remain invisible because cases are never reported. Only 27% of people who experience sexual harassment report it, according to a survey of 1,000 adults that was conducted by YouGov in 2013, 70% said they didn’t report it and 4% of respondents “prefer not to say” (those figures don’t add up to 100 because of rounding). The power of the men who have been publicly accused (a list which includes Donald Trump) helps to keep their victims silent.
