A group of youngsters, who had volunteered to desilt wells to allow their use as water sources in view of the extreme scarcity of drinking water. some NGOs came forward to remove garbage and silt from some abandoned wells. One such well is in Sai Mandir premises in Shinde Nagar area. On Sunday, the volunteers started removing the silt and garbage from the well. They found thousands of original Aadhaar cards dumped in the well on Sunday. The cards were packed in nylon gunny bags, and weighed down with rocks. the volunteers found belonged to residents of Lohara village on the city’s outskirts.
