Ibrahim escaped from Hindu fascists trap for now

The Vadakara First Class Judicial Magistrate’s Court here on Thursday acquitted a fish vendor whom the police had alleged to be a Pakistan citizen and was overstaying in the country without valid documents.

Magistrate Joemon John set free C. Ibrahim, 62, whose plight was highlighted in the media since the police took him to the Wagah border for deportation in April 2003. The police had charged him under Sections 14, and 13 read with 3(2) of the Foreigners Act, 1946.

The court said the prosecution failed to prove the charges against the accused. The only document the prosecution submitted before the court was a letter from the police stating that Ibrahim had not returned to Pakistan after he arrived in Vadakara from that country.

At the same time, his lawyer, Ajay Ramath, submitted before the court documents to prove that Ibrahim was an Indian. Certificates from the Varishikunni school and Madapally fisheries technical school, voters’ list of the Eramala grama panchayat and a ration card in which his names figured were produced by the defence side to prove that he was an Indian.

The issue of Ibrahim’s citizenship came up after the Edacherry police arrested him on June 8, 2003 on the charge of overstaying in the country. It was then reported that he was holding a Pakistan passport. He was forced to spend nearly a month in judicial and police custody. Later the court ordered his deportation by July 30.

No documents

A team of police personnel took him to the India- Pakistan border to execute the deportation. However, the Indian emigration authorities on the Wagah border refused to allow Ibrahim’s deportation on the ground that he possessed no valid documents to prove that he was a citizen of Pakistan.

It was found that he did not possess a Pakistan passport. He also did not possess an emergency emigration certificate issued by the Pakistan Embassy. The police team had to return with Ibrahim to Vadakara on August 5.

Ibrahim had set off by ship for the Gulf from Mumbai at the age of 22. But he ended up in Karachi after visa racketeers cheated him. He had to spend nine years in Pakistan. Later, he fled from Pakistan to reach Ajmer, where he worked as a cook for seven years. He returned to Vadakara in May 2003. He submitted a memorandum to the Collector to consider his citizenship case. Petitions were also forwarded to the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. But nothing positive emerged.

– from The Hindu

Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP), a Hindu fascist party, was ruling India at that time. Finding enemy is always a main propaganda of fascism. So BJP did that. If they could not find one, they will create one. Poor people like Ibrahim who are Muslims are easy targets. Accusing someone traitor is more powerful propaganda, because it will generate anger in the rest of the citizens. And later with a small push of generalization fascists get what they want.

Tax payers are paying for all the government agencies. Millions are wasted on police and intelligence. So why they could find enough evidence and then accuse some as traitor. Without any evidence they destroyed a poor citizen’s 7 years. Those people who cannot protect citizen are the the real traitors. During that time itself the Gujarat genocide happened. They failed the constitution. BJP leaders AB Vajpayee and L.K. Advani are responsible. They are the real traitors.

US fascists also play this old game of Hitler and Mussolini. Remember weapon of mass destruction.

Please stop these.
