Police arrested three members of a gang allegedly running a fake Aadhaar racket in Rae Bareli district. Among those arrested is an employee of Union Bank of India whose official ID and password were illegally used to generate Aadhaar credentials. Police said the gang was producing Aadhaar cards, birth certificates, and other identity documents using falsified records and unauthorised access to UIDAI-linked systems. The accused charged Rs 300 to Rs 320 per Aadhaar enrolment. An FIR was lodged by Deeh SHO Jitendra Mohan Saroj against Arvind, Shatrughan, Shahbaz Alam, Dheerendra Sharma, Abhishek Kumar, Anuj Yadav, and other unidentified persons.
